KLIMATTING ETT (Climate Gathering)
A three-day climate conference in Lund for young people, initiatiated by the Youth Council of Lund and Youth Forum for Agenda 21 (UFO), with the aim to bring the voice of youth to the Climate Change Conference, COP15 in Copenhagen, 7-18 December, 2009.

The commitment at KLIMATTING ETT was hard to miss, but between the serious discussions there were also time to listen to concerts, including Emil Jensen and Ellen Oredsson. Theatre Barbara kept high class and their climate play "Freeze" was very appreciated. The young delegates could also make refreshing ecological smoothies with a bicycle-powered blender from the Moss Garden, or talk to exhibitors at the forum of ideas. To offset the emissions from the foreign guests' travels, one hundred trees were planted outside Värpinge. One of the trees were planted in a ceremony outside the Cathedral of Lund, by young people from several countries and Rt. Rev. Dr. Antje Jackelén.

The project was a collaboration between many partners from different sectors of society such as industry, national and international non-profit organizations, universities, various municipalities and Region Skåne, young people and politicians. KLIMATTING ETT also received RCE status the day before the opening ceremony! Many thanks to everyone involved - it was you who made the gathering possible and successful!
